Independent News & Media announced as Sponsor of IAB Ireland’s Digital Dinner Series 2015

The first dinner of the 2015 IAB Ireland Digital Dinner Series was held recently at the RDS, Dublin, with guest speaker Sharon Walsh, Marketing Director, Heineken Ireland. Sharon spoke about her ‘Digital Wishlist for 2015’ and shared her insights, triumphs and challenges within the Digital Advertising Landscape.

This first dinner of the year featured the launch of Independent News & Media’s (INM) sponsorship of the 2015 series.

Suzanne McElligott , CEO, IAB Ireland, warmly welcomed INM’s sponsorship saying ‘Our dinners are designed to inform IAB’s outputs for the Irish advertising market and INM’s sponsorship supports our agenda to prove, promote and protect digital advertising in Ireland.’

IAB Ireland Digital Dinners have proven to be a very successful format for facilitating discussion on current digital topics, trends or issues in our market. Guests include senior marketers, and senior executives from online publishers and agencies.

Digital is a primary focus for Heineken Ireland. During her presentation, Sharon covered off her 6 key digital focus areas for the coming year. Storytelling using digital was a theme throughout; Sharon encouraged the dinner guests to embrace the power of effective storytelling to spark a conversation amongst their target online audience. Sharon commented: ‘Stories can travel the world in online conversations, engaging your audience, getting them involved with your brand and building meaningful relationships.’

Fiona O’Carroll, MD of Digital, INM adds ‘Independent News & Media are delighted to be sponsoring the IAB Digital Dinner series 2015. The digital advertising landscape needs events like this which facilitate open discussions which help our industry progress and deal with challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for publishers and agencies’.
