COOKIE POLICY
This is the Cookie Policy of IAB Ireland, a member of the global IAB network of online advertising trade associations, affiliated to IAB US and IAB Europe, and it applies to our website, www.iabireland.ie (“Website”), as well as to any other service that links to this policy or incorporates it by reference. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files which may be stored on your computer, tablet or mobile device to store or retrieve information related to a website you visit. Other technologies exist, which are similar but not technically the same as cookies, but we do not use these. For more information, you may look at the following third-party websites:
Does IAB Ireland use cookies?
There are several types of cookies, which we use to optimise your visits to our website.
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: These permanent cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not work as a result. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, navigating through pages or filling in forms.
- Performance Cookies: We would like to set permanent and session Google Analytics cookies to help us improve our Website. These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. The cookies collect information in a way that does not directly identify anyone. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.
- Session Cookies: These are temporary cookies, which are erased when you close your browser, although they may survive navigating from the website where they came from. They are used to deliver basic functions of a website while you are actively using it.
- Permanent cookies: These are cookies, which can remain on your computer, tablet or mobile device for a length of time, even after you visit our website unless they are specifically deleted.
- Third-party cookies: These are cookies, which are delivered by third parties, in our case Google Analytics. These cookies allow us to measure and improve the performance of our site. Our third party cookies are used for performance reasons only.
