Our theme for 2016 was simply ‘Mobile is everything’.   With Mobile Adspend overtaking Desktop for the first time in H1 2016, IAB Mobile Connect 2016 sought to address themes around the opportunities and challenges presented by Mobile – we delved into Video on Mobile, eCommerce with the launch of new Irish research and a case study from Shop Direct (Littlewoods Ireland).   We looked at how KBC repositioned themselves for the digital consumer and similarly how The Irish Times are responding to their readers on mobile.

Entertainment.ie shared their views on whether apps are relevant and the important questions to ask yourself if you are investing in apps.  Google helped us to reach and engage Millennials – speed being of the essence when attention spans are now shorter than that of a goldfish.  And last but not least Jerry Daykin shared with us all a dose of digital sense when it comes to Mobile Marketing.

Suzanne also shared the latest from IAB globally in terms of the charter for better advertising.  This charter includes new ad formats that are open for public comment – we would urge you all to have a look and give your feedback.
