David Monaghan, Head of Commercial, News Ireland has been elected Chairperson of the board of IAB Ireland, replacing Shane Nolan, Director, New Sales, EMEA, Google. David has been a director of IAB Ireland since 2018. His experience across a number of UK and Irish publishers from a strategic and commercial perspective will provide strong leadership to assist the IAB Ireland executive in delivering on the trade organisation’s remit and in helping its members adapt to the particular challenges and opportunities created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Commenting on his appointment David said, “IAB Ireland’s remit of Proving, Promoting and Protecting digital advertising has never been more important to maintaining a sustainable Irish industry. I am looking forward to working more closely with the board and the executive to ensure that IAB Ireland’s outputs deliver our remit with the collaboration and input of our membership”
IAB Ireland, CEO, Suzanne McElligott welcomed David’s election and thanked Shane Nolan for his very valuable input over his 3 years of service as chairperson. “IAB Ireland’s outputs are designed to meet the digital priorities of our Brand council through the collaboration of our members.
