Suzanne McElligott, CEO, IAB Ireland has been appointed a director of the pan European trade organisation, IAB Europe.
The IAB Europe board is composed of representatives of ten local IAB associations, reflecting the rich diversity of markets across Europe, and ten corporate members from different stakeholder groups of the digital advertising ecosystem.
As digital adspend across the EU is now valued at €30.7 billion*, this is a very important juncture for the digital advertising industry to work via IAB Europe across markets to agree standards and best practice.
Commenting on her appointment Suzanne said ‘I am very much looking forward to collaborating with my IAB colleagues at board level in the very important work of IAB Europe across policy, standards and knowledge sharing. As a very open market, Ireland has learnings to share and much to benefit from in the development of EU-wide standards across the digital advertising trading and measurement areas.’
IAB Europe Chairman Constantine Kamara sadded ‘The new Board has the mission to lead from the front on a few key strategic challenges and opportunities facing the industry. These include the delivery of an improved quality digital advertising trading environment, addressing issues such as viewability and brand safety, and continued engagement on the current EU data protection review as we try to preserve the scope for digital innovators to do business.’
